What a spam score catches
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that are missing, broken, or don't line up with the domain you send from.
- A sending IP or domain sitting on a public blacklist.
- Construction problems in the message itself — no plain-text version, no unsubscribe header, links that don't go where they say they go.
- Wording and formatting that spam filters have learned to mark down.
